Oh la la! My Nails are having a French Affair ;)

Hey Beauts!
I recently purchased a couple nail-polishes from the Essie French Collection that's out for Spring 2011.
I really love the elegance and sweetness of the colours and collection this spring :)

And the suuuuuuper cute quote that goes with the whole campaign! The stories behind collections inspire me, just think of the wistful french affair we could all have...
I purchased Topless & Barefoot and French Affair

Super chic and girlie colours. Especially Topless & Barefoot since nudes are super in this season ;)
This week, though, I've decided to rock the girlie French Affair (oooh la la!)

I love Essie colours, but they do go on streaky and so you definitely need two coats for opacity (I have 2 coats on in my NOTD). I put on a top coat as well, but it started chipping about 3 days after I painted them. Bummer but I looove the colour :) Also I'm a bit rough with my hands-I gym three times per week with weights and things-so that doesn't help my cause.

The past couple days I've been really thinking about purchasing the new Fondant Firming Cream that is supposed to be firming and anti-aging body cream from Nuxe orrr the Body Contouring Serum for Embedded Cellulite which (as is obvious) works to get out stubborn cellulite. I've been going to the gym three times per week and really toning up but I definitely want something to help with the "tightning/losing of cellulite (so I can look GOOD in a bikini) process" :)
Here's the site.

What do you ladies think? Heard anything about the new Nuxe products?

Mini NYX Eyeshadow Haul :)

Hey Beauties,
A few days ago I went to my handy little "Uniprix" Pharmacy and picked up a couple NYX eyeshadows. My very first NYX shadows-so exciting!! Unfortunately Uniprix doesn't carry the whole NYX line so they only have nailpolishes, some lipgloss and some eyeshadows :( Do any of you ladies from Montreal know where I can find more NYX stuff here?? Would be much appreciated!
I ended up buying 11 Iced Mocha and 112 Fahrenheit.

Here are some swatches :)

The texture of Iced Mocha feels so finely milled whereas Fahrenheit is a little more rough to the touch. Unlike Iced Mocha, Fahrenheit also contains some gold-toned sparkles which add to the roughness. I find iced mocha to be a taupe with a bit of a gold undertone and fahrenheit is like a very rusted antiqued rose with containing (cool) gold undertones as well (I know cool gold undertones doesn't make much sense, but the undertone isn't quite silver either...). I'm going to do a look with these two-I figured out when they're slightly blended it gives a beautiful taupey-rose!

My friend came over later that night and brought me Juliette et Chocolat goodness. If you live in Montreal and have never tried it before I HIGHLY recommend going!! I got a delicious brownie with their special salty signature caramel to dip it in :)

What do you ladies think of these shadows? What are you favourite NYX eyeshadows? I'd love some recommendations for further purchases.

Lush Face-Care Haul!

I feel like it's coming to that busy season of the year again. Where everyone has exams or some sort of final presentations. I dislike busy worktimes :(
Anyways! On to the GOOD news: I walked into Lush yesterday determined to try a few things AND purchase Ocean Salt which I have been lemming for, for a while now! I also told the SA I'd like a mask with similar brightening effects. Lately, due to this on and off weather and the 9 hour workdays, my skin is awfully dull! She recommended Sacred Truth-even though its for mature skin-she said it has wonderful enzymes with regenerating qualities. So I gave it a shot :)
The SA was also nice enough to give me two samples of Enzymion and Gorgeous when I asked her what else I should try from store. I always have the best experiences with the sales people at lush on St. Catherine's. I'm never been pressured to buy anything; if you're on the fence about a product they will give you a (free) sample first instead of forcing you to purchase-unlike some other cosmetic stores! That really helps build customer trust I find :)
From the top left you can see Ocean Salt (Sel Oceanique), Sacred Truth fresh face mask (Verite Sacree), and the facial moisturizers: Enzymion and Gorgeous in their sample sizes.

Same order with open caps (I really need to get a new magazine!!)

Ocean Salt (Sel Oceanique)

Sacred Truth fresh face mask (Veritee Sacree)

I tried on the Sacred Truth mask as SOON as I got home. You can see its green and chunky so it not the easiest to spread :P I want to use it a few more time before I write a formal review but after one use my skin feels a lot smoother! I'm liking it so far :)

What are some of your favourite Lush products??
