How To: Keep Yourself Looking, and Feeling, Young.

So I know most of us take precautions in order to save ourselves from the future, inevitable wrinkles.
I found a great little anti-aging secrets article using tips from supermodels on The exact link is here: Anti-Aging Secrets.

My favourites, and probably most accurate in my opinion, are these which I got off the above website.

Stay fit
"I'm very proud of being fit and strong at this age. I like to Spin three times a week at least and couple it with yoga. I've been dancing on Broadway for years, so when I'm in a show, my muscle memory comes right back. It's like being an athlete." - Brooke Shields, 45

Protect your skin
"After age 27, I'd always put SPF on my face. This is just my face. No Botox, no fillers, no nothing. When I compare myself with women my age who haven't been so SPF-specific, it does seem like their skin took more of a beating. I didn't worry about my chest, so the difference can be seen there. It's way wrinklier than my face."- Paulina Porizkova-Ocasek, 46

Eat right
"In my 20s, I ate hamburgers and pizzas. In my 40s, I started getting - and I'm still getting - more health-conscious. I don't eat a lot of meat, and I get my vegetables. When I run out [in the morning] and don't eat right first thing, I get dizzy and need a protein or juice fix. [I must] eat right at the start of the day!" - Patti Hansen, 55

"The real anti-aging secrets are SPF, water and sex. If you're having sex, you're probably pretty happy. You've got the endorphins going. And who doesn't look better after sex?" - Paulina Porizkova-Ocasek

Big Bounce Eyeshadows by MAC

So I know there's already been alot of buzz about these MAC big bounce eyeshadows but I wanted to show you guys some swatches and let you know my first impressions!
I got both Trophy and Impeccably Rich, one a light pink with very fine silver glitters and the second a yellow gold wash with gold and silver flecks.
So far, they're both great to wear on their own and as a base. Some days for work I tend to wear just Trophy as an all over lid wash, it brightens up my eyes and I get a more "awake" look. The one thing I should mention, and even the girl at the counter told me this, is that I should use a powder shadow underneath these guys to make them last longer. I've used them a few times with a powder shadow underneath, MAC eyeshadow ricepaper specifically, and they don't crease on me but they do wear out slightly after a 6-8 hr use. That's still VERY GOOD in my opinion.
Here are the swatches:
As you can see: Trophy (left) and Impeccably rich (right)

same order as above; flash with artificial lighting

same order as above; no flash with artificial lighting

Top is Impeccably Rich and Bottom is Trophy; no flash in artificial lighting

Same order as above; flash with artificial lighting

I just LOVE these two, they brighten up my eyes so much and they're just perfect for summer! I'm planning to do another summer FOTD with Impeccably Rich and a VERY special eyeliner that I'm inlove with! Stay tuned :)

Breezy Summer FOTN

Hey Beauts :)
So last night I went out to see the newest and last Harry Potter Film! Dorky I know but it's a guilty pleasure  ;)
I did a light smokey look with a bit of a greenish/teal colour as the base, hence "breezy"--always makes me think of teal blue.
All the photos were taken in artificial light with flash.

I ended up topping off the look with my Chanel Glossimer in Big Bang, but unfortunately it's not pictured! Sorry ladies.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Plus
MAC Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze
ELF Powder Blush in Pink Passion

MAC Ricepaper Eyeshadow (All over lid and highlight)
Benefit Eyeshadow in Mermaid (Lid)
MAC Eyeshadow in Knight Divine (crease and outer V)
L'Oreal Telescopic Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Covergirl Waterproof Lashblast Mascara in Very Black

Topped it off with Chanel Glossimer in Big Bang (not pictured!)

I really love the Mermaid eyeshadow, its light but pigmented and it's this teal-green with a gold sheen in certain lighting :) Thanks again Straight Up Glam

Aqua Marina to the rescue!

Hello again Gorgeous Dames :)
I know it's been a while as per usual but I have this post and one more upcoming post that I already have pictures for! My friend has also let me borrow this gorgeous bright pink nailpolish and I'll have to post an NOTD sometime soon too :)
This weekend in Montreal there was a sidewalk sale on the famous St. Catherine's street. The entire street was shutdown so that all the stores could set up some sort of hott deals on the sidewalk. I ended up strolling right into lush, they didn't have any sort of deals or sales going on but their prices are usually pretty good!
I really needed a facial cleanser for the summer, as the one I have from neutrogena that moisturizing for the winter, I also need one that more mattifying and oil-absorbing for the summer. The lady suggested either angels on bare skin or aqua marina, since angels on bare skin has light exfoliating qualities and i want to keep my tan I opted for aqua marina. Now the lady told me it contains seaweed as well as aloe and calamine which is perfect to help even out and keep summer skin healthy!
I've already used it and it definitely mattifies the skin and absorbs aaaall the oils and is extremely gentle! I've used it once already and I love it :) The only downside so far is that, because its wrapped in seaweed, it smells fishy in plastic container. Once you take the pink cleanser in the middle it smells like calamine and aloe (very comforting smells) and so my face doesn't smell fishy the entire day (not that I've noticed yet anyways)
If you ladies have any comments let me know! I want to give this guy a full review in about a week! :)

I got a small amount cause I heard it goes bad in three months and also because it may not be as good for  fall/winter as summer.

Aqua Marine is also known as the "sushi" cleanser I found out online. haha

The nice lady also gave me a sample of the vanishing cream which is like a gel-like cream for the face thats light for the summer. I'm excited to try it and let you gals know how it goes!
I also saw Cacao Maroon in the store, which is this bar for your hair that brings out auburn in brown hair that im super intrigued to try! Has anyone tried those hair colour bars??

What are you gals using for your summer face routine?
