How To: Keep Yourself Looking, and Feeling, Young.

7/26/11

So I know most of us take precautions in order to save ourselves from the future, inevitable wrinkles.
I found a great little anti-aging secrets article using tips from supermodels on msn.com. The exact link is here: Anti-Aging Secrets.

My favourites, and probably most accurate in my opinion, are these which I got off the above website.

Stay fit
"I'm very proud of being fit and strong at this age. I like to Spin three times a week at least and couple it with yoga. I've been dancing on Broadway for years, so when I'm in a show, my muscle memory comes right back. It's like being an athlete." - Brooke Shields, 45

Protect your skin
"After age 27, I'd always put SPF on my face. This is just my face. No Botox, no fillers, no nothing. When I compare myself with women my age who haven't been so SPF-specific, it does seem like their skin took more of a beating. I didn't worry about my chest, so the difference can be seen there. It's way wrinklier than my face."- Paulina Porizkova-Ocasek, 46

Eat right
"In my 20s, I ate hamburgers and pizzas. In my 40s, I started getting - and I'm still getting - more health-conscious. I don't eat a lot of meat, and I get my vegetables. When I run out [in the morning] and don't eat right first thing, I get dizzy and need a protein or juice fix. [I must] eat right at the start of the day!" - Patti Hansen, 55

S-e-x
"The real anti-aging secrets are SPF, water and sex. If you're having sex, you're probably pretty happy. You've got the endorphins going. And who doesn't look better after sex?" - Paulina Porizkova-Ocasek

What are your anti-aging secrets?

  1. Great post!! SPF really is important, as is good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle! I'm all about preserving the youthfulness, hehe! Eye creams are a must, too! Oh, and I also like to use a decolleté/bust cream or serum to keep everything smooth, firm and lifted for as long as possible. Along with that, SPF on the chest is important too! Too many times you see [older] women with nice smooth skin on their faces, and then their necks and chests look so old! Not a good look! =P

    Thanks for sharing this!

  2. @Straight up glam, i agreee spf is SO important...i am embarrased to say i don't use enough so i DEFINITELY need to start using move, especially with vacation coming up! The decollete factor was something I don't often think about it, so its definitely good to have it on the forefront while thinking of protecting the face as well! What bust cream do you use? I hear NUXE has a great one :)
