Revlon Lip Butter: Raspberry Pie 010

10/1/12

I remember being extremely hesitant when picking this colour up at a local drugstore near my workplace. I had already bought Pink Truffle from the Lip Butter line, and maybe it was the colour, maybe I just didn't apply it correctly but I wasn't impressed.
So I'm not sure what compelled to get the Raspberry Pie, but the colour compelled me so and I love berry colours with my skin tone-I had to.

Bare Lips

Raspberry Pie on my lips.

Swatches from left to right: Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in Bellissima 789, Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie 010, Chanel Rouge Coco in Rivoli 21

Dior Bellissima is deeper in colour and more red-toned than Raspberry Pie whereas Chanel Rivoli is darker than both and has brown undertones making it a bit more vampy than both other lipcolours.

I'm really enjoying this colour, it's perfect for my skin tone and type (MAC NC30) in other words it doesn't make me look sallow and it's not too dark (sometimes my Chanel Rivoli tends to be too dark for my skin tone-definitely a bold lippie).
This isn't a review and I dont want to do another Revlon Lip Butter review. But I will briefly state that it is moisturizing, the colour payoff is great on my medium pigmented lips, it lasts for about 2-4 hours since its balm-based and the packaging is super cute.
Would I repurchase? yes. Purely for the colour though, I can't stress how amazing it is on!

Have you tried these Lip Butters?
