Striking Sweet Octobers

11/2/12

I've recently realized that when I'm nervously happy with a retarded amount of butterflies I smile like a freakin' idiot. If you know me, I have a sourpuss looking face when it's relaxed. I don't know why, probably genetic. But when you see my grinning dopey face, it is extremely obvious that I'm nervously happy-damn it

So aaaanyways, beyond that little rant, I want to share my October favourites :)

Philosophy Amazing Grace Shimmery Face Powder- I've been loving this little highlighter [or face powder, whatever]. It's great when my skin needs a little boost, and it's works for every day makeup.

Revlon Colourstay Whipped Foundation in 250 Medium Beige- I got this one when I was visiting the 'rents. I don't think I've seen it here in Quebec yet but it's one of those "omgaw" drugstore foundations. It goes on flawlessly and leaves the skin looking really airbrushed (I use a large stippling brush from MAC to apply it). I have combination skin, so my T-zone does get a tad oily by the end of the day while using this foundation. Full review coming soon!

Dior Extreme Addict Lipstick in Bellissima 789- I've talked about this one before. I've been loving this for nights out on the town when I don't feel like wearing anything but bold eyeliner and a bold lipstick. Perfect colour for Fall and [bonus!] a moisturizing lipstick too.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty- I just reviewed this in my last post. It's a beauty red-rose colour and it blends it beautifully with most skin-tones. Like I said before, it's going to be one of those blushes I will get a fair amount of use out of this fall/winter/spring.

What are you favourites this October/Fall? Anything I should be checking out? ;)

Kisti Belle

  2. That Tarte blush looks gorgeous and really wearable, and I'm interested in that Revlon foundation now, although I don't wear foundation on a daily basis. Looking forward for your review!

    1. I think the Tarte blushes really live up to their hype, especially this one (dubbed "snow white" blush by some bloggers) I will post the review in a few days, so stay tuned! ;)
