5 Amazingly Creative Halloween Nail Designs | Indecent Xposure

For personal reasons, I haven't been a fan of Halloween in the recent years. Despite that, I still can't escape the immense creativity that goes on during the season. Every year, I'm continuously surprised and inspired by all the ideas and pairings of costumes: ie. Koala bear and tree (a pairing, too cute), Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke (despise their little "performance" but the costumes were funny), etc.
This year I was browsing nail art photos, and since the popularity of 3D nails and nail designs has grown int he past few years, there were so many awe-inspiring nail designs for Halloween 2013.
Therefore, for Indecent Exposure, I compiled 5 Halloween nail designs that truly inspired me this halloween, and even warmed me up to the idea of the costume and ghoul filled holiday.

What are you favourite halloween nails this year? Have you come up with any designs?

Faces of Hallows' Eve

With Halloween just around the corner, many of the youtube beauty gurus have released videos on various make-up tutorials to go with your costumes.
I wanted to bring a couple to the forefront that I thought were super cute and super useful for halloween!

I, myself, might just be a black panther so the makeup will be fairly easy, but I will try to take some cute pictures and update you on what look I choose!
Luckily for this costume I won't have to purchase any halloween type makeup.

What will you ladies be for halloween? Have you purchased any special makeup items in order to be gory and ghoulish?

Review | Michael Todd Exfoliator

One product that is particularly difficult to find is an exfoliator that's suited to your skin type and preferences.
I can't stand exfoliators that are too rough and grainy, or ones that strip your face of all its' good oils.
In one of my monthly beauty box subscriptions, I received a sample of the Michael Todd Tropical Fruit Exfoliating Scrub. The sample is actually quite a generous size and I've used up quite a bit - and still have some to spare!
This product claims to be super gentle and to exfoliate without scrubbing skin raw - it contains papaya and pineapple enzymes to exfoliate without scrubbing.

The beads are small, but vary in size and are nicely round. I find that uneven beads can tear my skin and irritate it.
What really intrigued me about the product is that it's 96% organic and vegan. So I browsed the Michael Todd website, and found that most of their products are organic, which is so refreshing in the beauty world!

In order to use this product, I add a little water to a small nickel size amount and scrub gently. The directions specifically state that the user should use gentle circular motions as not to overstimulate the skin.
I found the texture much thicker than other exfoliants I've used and I never once felt like my skin was "overstimulated". This product is target for all skin type but I have combination to normal skin, and so it's not sensitive and does not get "overstimulated". I find that it exfoliates my skin without stripping it of all of its oils and so I don't get that super squeaky clean feeling on my face afterwards.
My face feels soft and clean after the the cleansing, and this is most likely due to its hydrating qualities.
The smell of this product is absolutely amazing, I haven't had a skincare products smell this delicious and fruity before. It's like not too sweet fruit candy, yum!

I try to use this about twice a week, alternating with my KORRES Daily Brightening Scrub, and it helps keep my face balanced. As soon as I stop using this, I notice a difference and a couple blemishes popping up. It's becoming a staple in my skincare routine.
All you need is a small dollop and a gentle scrub (or just circular motions) of this stuff to get the desired effect!
The price point for a 100ml bottle is $18 USD. You can find the Michael Todd Tropical Fruit Exfoliating Scrub here.

- gentle exfoliating and round beads
- hydrating yet cleansing
- amazing scent
- only requires a small dollop for the entire face
- squeeze bottle (best packaging for exfoliators)
- vegan and organic!

- the thick, and a little sticky, texture
- it's online only

I'm going to rate this product an 8/10. Taking points of for the fact it's not easily available in stores and the thick texture.

I am debating buying a full size of this from the online store, and trying a few more of their organic products. If it was readily available in store, I would easily pick up a full size version! I'd also be intrigued to try the Pumpkin Face Mask

What do you think about this exfoliating products? Would you purchase it?

And ladies, please, this is for external use only - so don't get any ideas. ;)

Kisti Belle has it's very own Domain! [Finally]

I've been thinking about this for months, yes, months.
I've been wanting my own domain for such a long time for a variety of reasons.
And I finally got one:

I've also revamped my blog a bit, and there's more of that to come as well.

If you're wondering where I got the domain, it would be:
It's recommended by Blogger as well, so it's safe to use and buy from. Blogger is still my hosting site, which is perfect and free! I'm able to redirect readers from my old site to this new domain of mine using my hosting site.

What do you ladies think? I always love hearing your thoughts and suggestions!

Mid-October Lovins' | starring "The Cup I Made-Out with Last Night"

Believe it or not, there are other things I love besides makeup.
You know - other material things, of course.
Some of them are pretty, practical or just downright decadent.
There's also Option D: all of the above. Akin to my life.

Owl earrings with gemstones. I mean, they're just darling. My little hiboux.
In case you liked them as much as I do, they're from Aldo

Delicious ground espresso from a local Coffeehouse in Toronto, ON.
The worst thing is I don't even use this to make espresso, I just make regular coffee with it. Albeit, it gets a little strong - but delicious. Mmmm...

My "Kiss and Makeup" beauty bag from Victoria's Secret. Okay, so one beauty-related item made it to this list. I can't help it, it's my life.
This a great bag for brushes as its quite long and compact but also great for anything you wanna throw in there. Personally, I find it's a great travel bag as I can throw in brushes and compacts.

My adorable little bow headband from my alma mater: Queen's University! Our university colours were "the tricolour": red, yellow and blue - all the primary colours.
I'm wearing it today, just 'cause.

Oh and here's the cup I made-out with last night... It was friday night and every girl needs a little bit of lovin' now and then.
But seriously, I was taking some authentic "kissing" pics for design use.
It's wonderful, large and perfect for those mornings when you need to drown in a vat of coffee.
Or kiss one.

What some of your non-beauty, or beauty, related items recently?

September Lovins'

Okay. I'm late. I know. It's almost mid-October and where are my September favourites? Late.
But... better late than never? ... ;)

Officially I am loving:
NYX HD Powder Foundation in Beige
MAC Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
EOS Lipbalm in Honeysuckle
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Suspense

The NYX Powder is a great non-cakey powder I use to set my concealer, and sometimes lightly to set my foundation.
MAC Bronzing Power in Matte Bronze gives me a sunkissed glow without looking muddy or overly sparkly. This I will definitely repurchase!
The expert face brush is amazing at applying any sort of foundation - powder or foundation - while leaving a flawless finish.
EOS lipbalm is a moisturizing lipbalm I use every night to keep my lips nice and soft - chapped free.
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Suspense is beautiful at full pigment-al (can I use it as an adjective?) powder or it can give a flushed look to a dull face, when dabbed lightly onto the lips.

These are some old and some new loves, I'm always changing up my stash but certain things never change. Or hardly ever change, cause let's face it: change is inevitable.

What are some of your favourites?

MAC Haul and Swatches | Sunday Strolls

I was brought up to share. Food. Clothes. Toys. For instance, see this delicious brunch? I shared it (but ate most of it in the end, like the bottomless pit that I am). Of course, there are things I won't cross the lines with: intimates, gum, perfume - but seriously, I don't share my perfume.
As I was strolling along St. Denis on a calm Sunday afternoon, I walked into MAC Cosmetics and picked up some products that I've heard so much about in the blogging community.
Enter MAC products: Cremecup lipstick, Mythology and Sable eyeshadows.

Since I already have MAC fillable palette, I opted to purchase the refillable pro-palette shadows, however these are also available the regular eyeshadow pots.
Creme cup lipstick on the top, Sable on the left and Mythology on the right.

Top to Bottom: Cremecup, Sable and Mythology.

These colours all flatter my skin-tone: Cremecup is a beautiful and opaque pink nude. Although if you don't like opaque lipsticks this one is not for you. Sable is a mauvey, taupey brown - either for use in the crease or as an all over lid colour. Mythology is a deep burnt orange with glitter, which is alot more subtle on the eye than it looks. Mythology is a great lid colour as well, but would work well as a crease colour with a lighter and neutral colour.

I haven't had a chance to really try them out for extended periods of time, or with any looks, but I'm already fairly happy with the first impressions!

What do you ladies think of these MAC classics? What's your favourite MAC product?

Special Topbox Reveal | Dermalogica October 2013

This month I took a chance and asked to receive a Dermalogica Topbox instead of the regular surprise Topbox.  Of course, I didn't think I'd actually get this box, but I'm glad I did get it! One of the most interesting things to me besides cosmetics is skincare (in case you hadn't already figured that out...) This Topbox contains products that I wouldn't necessarily think would be important - well one of those products. The other three would be really handy to try in case they end up being harder workers than the ones in current use.

I also love the tagline on the Topbox box: This is not a luxury, this is your skin's future. Yes, totally agree!!

I received samples of Daily Microexfoliant, Pre-cleanser, Daily Active Toner and the Skin Defense Booster in SPF 50. I think I'm most excited to try the Microexfoliant and the Pre-cleanser. The Microexfoliant because I love trying new exfoliants, in order to keep your skin healthy you have to switch up products! The Pre-cleanser because I never thought to pre-cleanse your face before you really cleanse it, it seems as though it allows the actual cleanser you're using to give a deeper cleanse. The Pre-cleanser is the product I'm most excited to try, and never thought of!

Dermalogica also lists the full size products and their price point. It's a pricey brand and we will see how their products fare. Will they be worth their steep price?

The Pre-cleanser has a controlled dispenser, although I'm surprised it doesn't come in a pump.

The daily Microexfoliant is actually a powder. It needs to be mixed in with water in order to become a thicker exfoliating solution. I am so intrigued by this product and so excited to use it. I also want to note that it's their most expensive full sized product from the bunch!

So what did you ladies think of this month's specially tailored Topbox? Did you receive the regular Topbox this October?

Outfit | Mint Cute Dress by Modcloth

Mint Cute Dress by Modcloth

Forever New pink tuxedo
$93 -

Le Silla pumps

Forever New handbag
$65 -

Tribal necklace

Charlotte Russe belt

I was asked by ModCloth to post an outfit around their Mint Cute Dress. This is what I came up with - my favourite accessory for the dress being these gorgeous vibrant navy pumps. The two colours are dramatic together, but beautiful. Personally, I would totally purchase all the items and even mix n' match them. If you prefer flat to heels, then navy heels or even rose/nude flats would work as well.
I wish I could wear this look!

What do you ladies think? Would you wear it?
