Review | L'Occitane Hand Cream

One of the worst feelings about the impending and increasingly cold and dry weather is the feeling of tight and dry skin. My hands are in contact with the harsh weather quite often and as such I always carry a tube of cream or lotion with me. It can be a huge relief to rub a heavenly dollop of cloud-like moisture onto your dry and achy skin. This past summer, I was introduced to the L'Occitane Hand Creams - infamous in their own circle for being simply amazing.

The cream itself is amazing and deeply moisturizing. I tend to use it at nighttime after a long warm shower or when my hands are quite dry. Best part of this little tube, is that a little goes a long way and the 30ml quantity ends up being more than enough for a little while.  The cream can be quite heavy and just the smallest bit greasy so it's definitely more for dry hands. I personally love the formula, I don't like creams that are too waxy or too greasy, but moisturizing and a little bit greasy is very comfortable for my dry hands. My hands are still somewhat moisturized even after a wash with a hard soap.

The smells of each the almond and the rose creams are w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l. I personally love the rose since it's a little stronger and more perfume-y, but the almond is just as lovely in it's sweet and lighter fragrance.

- deeply moisturizing
- variation of light to more striking fragrances
- compact tube and a small dollop of cream goes a long way
- long-wearing moisture
- widely available at Sephoras, L'Occitane stores and at select online retailers
- sleek packaging

- small tube could be a con for hand-cream addicts
- steep price point at 12-15 CAD a pop

Despite the somewhat higher than usual price point, I would whole-heartedly repurchase this product - and plan to when my tubes run out!

What do you ladies think of the L'Occitane Hand Creams? Do you love them or hate them?
