February and January Favourites 2014

3/5/14

Ohhh look at all the goodies! I haven't done a favourites post in quite some time, so I decided to put together some products that I've been loving for both January and February.

Usually my monthly favourites don't consist of that many products since I'm quite picky and don't generally use a ton of makeup on a daily basis. This month, I feel like I've accumulated quite a few things and so I'll give a short review/why I like them about each.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser - This is just the best basic facial cleanser. It's gentle enough that it doesn't strip your skin too much but it definitely takes off all the dirt and grime that's accumulated. It's also pH balancing, a must when you live in a crowded city with air pollution.

MAC Skinfinish in Gold Deposit - An old love, newly found. Has been part of my skin routine this winter when I need an extra little glow that's natural enough for my light olive skintone.

L'Occitane Amande (Almond) Hand Cream - I love the Occitane hand creams, super moisturizing without being greasy. The Amande, almond in french, scent is sweet and fresh at the same time.

Seche Vite Top Coat - My nail polish saviour! This is the best top coat that doesn't create small bubbles and lasts for a while longer than the competition. It's pricey, but worth it and this will be re-bought once it's finished.

Epic Blend in Apple - I received this in a recent Topbox, the February Topbox, and I've been loving it. A great blend of waxy and greasy, with a sweet apple scent.

Hourglass Ambient Light in Dim Infusion - This deserves a full review, but so far, I'm loving it. I love the highlighter mixed in with the peach blush shade, it creates a soft peachy glow on my cheek that compliments my face and palette

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Suspense - The Rouge Coco Shines aren't the most long lasting. However, when I need to use them for work or a more natural look, I can dab this on and blend it into my lips with my fingers. I get a beautiful pout with a pop of colour that's work appropriate.

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Caresse Liptick in Violet Chiffon - A yellow based violet lipstick that looks beautiful on olive toned skin. One of my favourite light violets for day or night. I've been dabbing this one on lightly as well for more work appropriate events.

What products have you been loving lately?
