Weekly Wishlist and Loves #3

4/29/14

Where has this month gone? I feel like I've been travelling back and forth between here and home that's it's flown by!
Of course, there isn't a week that goes by when I don't notice a few new beauty items...

April Favourites | 2014 Loves

4/28/14

April was a lot more hectic than I anticipated. With those hectic timelines and travels, I had to downsize my makeup options and even tame some wayward skin. Quite a few products came in handy, some were new additions and others were old loves. One particular product is a sample from a Topbox, but I will definitely be buying the larger size!

Weekly Wishlist and Loves #2

4/22/14

The second post of my weekly wishlist series is here!
This one was a little harder to put together as I've been doing some beauty shopping this weekend.
However, being a beauty blogger and self-proclaimed beauty addict, there's always something I want to try!

TopBox Reveal Unboxing | April 2014

4/20/14

I got the newest Topbox for April 2014, and I was less than impressed while opening it! I only got four products, and I'm not really interested in about half of them. It seemed to be a skincare box this month, and I only knew 1/3 skincare brands they offered.

Weekly Loves and Enablers #1

4/15/14

I wanted to start a weekly blog series every Tuesday showcasing 3-5 products I'm totally lusting for! Most likely, they'll be beauty products but here and there I'll include some non-beauty items as well. I watch so many beauty gurus on youtube and follow so many beauty bloggers/instagrammers that my wishlist is constantly changing! Let me know if you guys are liking this series or totally hating it. Don't worry, you can speak your mind ;)

Smokey Gold with Pops of Colour | Look

4/6/14

Top Right: Satin Taupe MAC, Bottom Right: Sketch MAC

MAC Hue lipstick and Benefit Sugargbomb lipgloss

I wanted to create a sultry fun look that combined some of this Summers hottest trends. So I decided to put together the gold smokey eye and the pop of cheek colour, two of the hottest Summer beauty trends. Not to be too confident, but I love the look that I created and I've even been able to get some great feedback about it! This look could really work on almost anyone, and with any eye colour - but especially hazel or brown eyes.

Products used (as pictured in the first photo)
Chanel Perfection Lumiere in 30 Beige (foundation, not pictured)
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20 (concealer, not pictured)
NARS Blush in Coeur Battant (LE, blush)
The Balm and the beautiful palette - The Basket Case eyeshadow (highlighter)
L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Sahara Treasure (eye lid colour)
MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow (crease colour)
MAC Sketch Eyeshadow (outer v colour and bottom lashline shadow)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Crave (bottom lashline liner/smudged)
Covergirl Lashblast Waterproof Mascara in Very Black (eyelashes)
MAC Lipstick in Hue (lip colour)
Benefit Lipgloss in Sugarbomb (lip colour)

I'll be recreating this look throughout the summer for nights out or just beautiful days shopping.
What do you ladies think of this look?

March Favourites | 2014 Loves

4/3/14

March has been a month of skincare favourites, as is obvious from the pictures. I wasn't able to experiment too much with makeup, except maybe lipstick, since I had an eye infection for more than half the month! Sad, I know, especially with all the exciting Spring and Summer makeup coming out!
Not to worry, I already have some Spring/Summer looks in mind for future posts ;) But for now, here are my March Favourites.

Favourites:

Neutrogena Make-Up Removing Wipes in Night Calming - I really prefer these wipes over the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit wipes as the smell is a lot gentler and the wipes themselves are gentler as well. They are much more moisturizing and they still remove make-up without stripping my face of its natural oils.

Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil - I've been using this up this month, almost every night, and it does moisturize and calm my skin. I have less dry patches and even less breakouts since using a night-time beauty oil.

Boscia Luminizing Black Mask - This is a black peel-off mask, and let me tell you, I have not always been a fan of peel-off masks and the jury is still largely out. But! I put this on my face the other day when I felt it look dull and it definitely cleansed and brightened my face! I'll have to give this a go a few more times before I decide if I would repurchase but I'm loving it now :)

Urban Decay All Nighter -  There are times when I'm so proud of my makeup but by the end of the day it has faded away! This 100% helps to keep my makeup crisp, bright and in place. I'm so happy to have this little guy!

Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner - I get really lazy when it comes to toner, but I also haven't found one that I like. When I got the Dermalogica Toner to try, I loved it! It lightly moisturized my skin and the smell is great. I can't emphasize how rare it is to find a toner with a pleasing smell!

Garner Pure 3 in 1 Cleanser/Scrub/Mask - So I've been looking into cleansing masks to find a few good ones that work well. Hopefully a blog post to come on that. This one I found at the drugstore, and I was so pleased to find a cleanser that I could use as a mask. I can literally just leave this on "problem" areas for a few minutes to get an enhanced cleansing effect.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream - Hands down, my favourite eye cream. I've tried many others but this is by far my favourite. It's hydrating and helps with dark circles and (bonus!) it still has tiny microshimmers that give my under eye area that extra little boost it needs in the morning.

Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Pomegranate - Sometimes when I need to moisturize my lips but they need just that hint of colour, this is absolutely perfect. The only thing that I have a problem with is that sometimes the colour goes past the lips in an effort to moisturize the edges!

What were your beauty favourites this month? Have you tried any of these products?
