Real Review #1 | Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser

Swatch of the Kieh'ls Ultra Facial Cleanser

Again, I'm doing starting another series: starting every Thursday I will be reviewing one product or service I've been trying out. Exciting times on the Kisti Belle blog!

It's only been a few months since the first time I strolled into a Kiehl's store and I've never looked back. Kiehl's really has some skincare gems in their repertoire, and one of them is the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser.
Kiehl's claims that this cleanser is a gentle cleanser that will not overly strip off the oils from your face. I can confidently tell you that it's true, the Ultra Facial Cleanser is not overly drying - it's the perfect balance between cleansing your skin and leaving the natural healthy oils on your skin. It's a pH-balanced product, so it won't irritate sensitive skin - I would recommend picking up a sample if you're a sensitive-skinned lady/lad.
It doesn't break me out, and using this twice a day (or more if you need) had really helped keep blackheads, pimples and whiteheads at bay. Of course, remember to use an exfoliant to get rid of the dead skin and really keep everything at bay each week!
It doesn't really have a fragrance, I guess it smells like soap? ;) The slight smell doesn't bother me, as I prefer when my cleansers don't have a strong smell!

The colour is transparent but slightly white and the formula is thin, however, it does foam up a bit when you cleanse your skin! Don't expect it to be super bath-bomb-foamy, though.

- not overly drying; does not strip oils
- no strong smell
- simple packaging, great delivery
- long-wearing moisture
- great for sensitive skin (in my opinion)
- delivers on it's promises; does what it says

- steep price point at $25 CAD a pop
- easily dupe-able

I know I've said this before, but despite the high price-point and the fact that if I did search, I could probably find a cheaper version of this product, I would definitely repurchase the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser! It's a perfect non-irritating everyday cleanser that doesn't overly dry my skin.

Have you or would you try this product?
