Real Review #14 | NYX HD Photogenic Concealer

For me, concealer is just like foundation: completely necessary. I use both daily, although depending on the day and the occasion, I may use them more lightly or more heavily. This is exactly the reason why I need a concealer that won't cake-up if I need to put a little more on, but that can also blend easily if I'm to add it lightly. And, to be honest, one that doesn't break the bank would be great - am I right ladies?
After a great recommendation, I ended up trying the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer, and for 5$ it does a pretty good job. I'm an NC30 and my concealer colour is CW04 Beige which is perfect for under eye and even for spots and discolouration. It has a doe-foot applicator and contains 3.25ml or 0.11 oz of product. Personally, I find that this will last me about 3-4 months before drying out. Not bad for 5$! It's talc-free and paraben-free.

The concealer is pigmented and smooth. I'm able to cover my under eye circles with a few brushstrokes. I'm also able to cover any imperfections, small blemishes and spots with ease. It's fairly long lasting, and I do set it with a translucent powder but after about 6 hours I will touch it up. The doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply the product to specific places and allows me to use my fingers to blend it afterwards. The tube packaging also makes it easy to travel and for general use. One con is that I wish it was more opaque coverage, instead of mid-coverage, and so I'm dying to try out the NARS concealer and compare.

- low price-point
- smooth texture
- easy doe foot applicator
- easy blendable formula
- paraben and talc free
- mid-coverage

- mid-coverage is good, wish it was more opaque
- can be drying

Would I repurchase? Yes I would and I've already gone through about 2 or 3 of these. Has anyone been able to compare the NYX HD Concealer with the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer?
